The original table of contents, as seen below on the left, had a bright yellow background color. As I looked at it more, I realized the contrast between the bottom image and the color made it look less professional, and the color didn't fit my theme of making a more mature table of contents. For these reasons, I have decided to make the color less bright and more soothing. In addition to that, I replaced the picture on the top right with one that matched properly with my "The Perfect Girl's Night" two page spread.

3/11/2021 0 Comments Discuss the issues raised in the targeting of national and local audiences by international or global institutionsIn the targeting of national and local audiences by international institutions, issues are being raised especially for Britain. Of course, these corporations have no choice but to try and broaden their audiences around the world and to Britain, however the negative effects they bring are often forgotten about as well.
The first issue raised is that the products being produced lack variation on multiple levels, including culture. This is because the big conglomerates are mostly U.S based, meaning that all of their backgrounds will be of American roots. There are many differences in British and American Culture, and by having such few corporations running entertainment, this British culture tends to be left out. Additionally, even if they do try and include this culture, it won’t be as in depth because of its American roots and lack of in depth knowledge. Additionally, when international institutions try and target British audiences, it doesn’t allow for their independent and smaller companies to compete in the industry. When there are such few corporations running media, it becomes increasingly harder for independent producers to get their work out and become known without becoming a part of one of the conglomerates. This means that because smaller companies can’t compete with the monopolies, the power will end up staying in the big corporations’ hands. |
